A recruit decided she wanted to steal food, out of the box chow. She kept some granola bars for later. DI found out about it. For the next 3 days the DI collected every granola bar, from all the recruits. After lights on that 3rd night that DI was on duty. She had the recruit, sitting in front of her hatch, eating granola bars, with nothing to drink until 0300. She never stole food again.


When I was in FRP, SDI Ssgt Mosqueda started making fun of us, for calling ATTN. on deck with a "sweeter" voice, when a male officer came on. Well she had me and another recruit stand firewatch, during a time she knew a different DI would be coming on deck. Just so we could give her a very "sweet" report. When the DI walked on deck we stood, and gave the report. All we got was a blank stare the entire time I was reading, and a trying to hold back laughter SHUT UP, when we were done.
